CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Case Cart Specialist in Lakewood, CO to support the perioperative services team by managing and coordinating supplies and instrumentation for surgical procedures.

You will liaise between the Operating Room, Sterile Processing, and Supply Chain to ensure instruments and equipment are available, properly stored, and ready for cases, while upholding aseptic technique and meticulous inventory control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience in a surgical and/or sterile processing setting.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for room turnovers, case cart distribution and transport, and instrument setup needs for the operating room surgical cases.
• Gathers and assembles instruments and equipment for scheduled procedures, ensuring proper instruments have been picked for the cases.
• Obtains additional/missing items needed, preventing case delays, and assists in arranging and tracking borrowed or loaned instrumentation/equipment, communicating to appropriate leadership.
• Uses physician preference cards to identify supplies and equipment needed for scheduled surgical or emergency procedures, and updates preference cards with any necessary changes.
• Reviews scheduled surgical procedures and anticipates issues, needs of the team, and schedules that will require followup, discussing these with department leadership and the Circulator in the room.
• Prepares the operating room and supplies for procedures with knowledge of aseptic technique.
