Job Title: Surgical Care Technician - Evening Shifts

Shift: Evening

Monday - Friday, 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist clinical staff by performing support functions that facilitate the proper functioning of anesthesia equipment. Provide supplies and medications to the ORs. Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments as needed, and prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures in a timely manner.

Employment Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED, with the ability to read, write, comprehend, follow instructions, perform basic math, and communicate effectively.
2. Knowledge of basic medical terminology, equipment, instrumentation, aseptic techniques, and telephone use, typically acquired through three months of on-the-job experience.
3. Understanding of applicable hospital and department policies and procedures.
4. Demonstrated competency as a PCT I for 6 months, completed PCT II training, or equivalent work experience.
5. CPR certification/recertification is required.
