Surgical Care Technician - Evening Shifts

Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:45PM-11:15PM

Primary Function / General Purpose of Position:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the clinical staff by performing support functions to facilitate anesthesia equipment operation, provide supplies and drugs to OR rooms, and prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures. The role involves teamwork and additional assignments as needed based on workload or area of specialty.

Employment Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED, with the ability to read, write, comprehend, follow instructions, perform basic math, and communicate effectively.
2. Knowledge of medical terminology, equipment use, basic instrumentation, aseptic techniques, and telephone communication, typically acquired through three months of on-the-job experience.
3. Understanding of department and hospital policies and procedures.
4. Demonstrated competency as a PCT I for six months, completed training for PCT II, or equivalent work experience.
5. CPR certification/recertification is required.
