Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgical Care Unit (SCU). The SCU provides pre- and post-operative care for a range of surgical procedures, including joint replacement and bariatric cases, in a 36-bed unit certified for advanced care.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, have 15+ months of RN experience, and possess NJ RN licensure with BLS. This role requires dayshift coverage (7 AM–7:30 PM) and a commitment to patient and family education to

Qualifications

• BSN degree required or in pursuit
• Minimum 15 months RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Active NJ RN license required
• National Nursing Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post-operative care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures
• Emphasize patient and family education to ensure clear expectations and optimal recovery outcomes
• Perform daily clinical skills including ambulation, pain management, drain care, catheter care, wound care, medication administration and collaboration with the care team
