Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a hybrid role in Preoperative and PACU. You will deliver individualized patient care, communicate plans with the team, and utilize advanced bar-scanning and electronic documentation to support high-quality care.

The position is part-time with day shifts in Neptune, NJ, requiring a NJ RN license, BLS/ CPR, ACLS, PALS, NIH and telemetry certifications, with BSN in progress and PACU/Preop experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Recent critical care nursing experience required.
• 6 months PACU nursing experience preferred; preoperative nursing preferred.
• New Jersey RN license required; BLS/CPR and ACLS/PALS/NIH certifications encouraged.
• Telemetry certification preferred; weekend PACU rotation required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based practice and standards.
• Communicate patient status and plans with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation tech.
• Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient/family education for health optimization and disease management.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharges for safe transitions of care.
