Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Raleigh, NC seeks an assistant to Physicians, RN's and Radiology Technicians to support patient care and procedural operations. You will help maintain sterile environment, position patients, prepare them for surgery and assist with instruments.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, CPR certification, and 1–2 years of related hospital or OR experience; knowledge of instrument sterilization and PPE for radiology is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related hospital or operating room experience preferred.
• Knowledge of instrument sterilization techniques.
• Knowledge of personal protective devices to be utilized when operating Radiology systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians, RNs and Radiology Technicians in patient care and procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment during procedures and handle instruments aseptically.
• Assist in preparing patients for surgery by positioning, shaving and prepping.
• Assemble and remove all instruments, utensils, equipment, gloves and linens used in the case.
• Transport patients as needed and keep the procedure room clean between cases.
• Participate in CQI meetings and support cost-control initiatives.
