Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest seeks a Surgical First Assistant to support surgeons in the operating room. You will work under the supervision of a surgeon, assist with instruments, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Minimum two years of OR experience and graduation from an Accredited Surgical First Assist Program are required; CPR/BLS certification is expected. This is an onsite, full-time position in Oregon.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum operating room experience required.
• Certified Surgical Assistant or Surgical First Assistant credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during operations under direct supervision.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrumentation and suction.
• Prepare and manage equipment, supplies, and room turnover.
• Follow policies on confidentiality, attendance, and professional behavior.
