North Mississippi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Tupelo, MS, is looking for a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team and support a range of oral and maxillofacial procedures.

You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, capture dental x-rays, document patient information, and assist with post-operative care while upholding HIPAA and patient-first care principles.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Oral Surgery/Dental assisting experience.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based tasks.
• Professional, reliable, and positive attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Oral Surgeon during oral and maxillofacial procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms per protocols and safety standards.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control.
• Capture dental x-rays and scans as needed.
• Provide post-operative instructions and oral care guidance.
• Document patient information and chart notes.
• Perform administrative tasks using dental software.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
