Qualifications

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is preferred.
• Be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude.
• Possess great understanding of dental terminology.
• Have excellent communication and written skills.
• Have excellent public relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument x-rays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures
• Assisting the dentist with procedures when necessary
• Providing great patient care
• Recording treatment information in patient records.
• Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs
• Upholding equipment standards/protecting and maintaining all dental tools in the practice
• Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Maintaining all HIPAA and OSHA required trainings and compliance
