Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of a Surgical Assistant Program (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support and CSA certification preferred/required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Performs surgical hand scrub, gowning, and gloving; assists on cases.
• Maintains sterile technique and checks instruments.
• Monitors patient conditions and documents vital information.
• Assists with case preparation, positioning, and wound closure under supervision.
