Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• CSA or CST or Licensed Surgical Assistant within 1 year - IDFPR/NBCCSA NBSTSA
• Education pathways include Associate's Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and asepsis in procedures.
• Coordinates supplies and equipment for cost-effective operations.
• Assists in intraoperative behavior as first assistant.
• Operates autoclave sterilization units and supports room turnover.
• Assists nurse in planning patient care and patient positioning.
