Job summary

Jefferson Lansdale Hospital seeks a Nursing Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Surgery Advanced Practice Clinician team. The APC will cover the full spectrum of perioperative care, from preop to discharge, in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment within the surgical service line.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• National Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• BLS certification required.
• Work Shift Rotating (United States of America)

Responsibilities

• Attend morning sign-out with the residents & attendings as part of the surgery team.
• Manage surgery patients: history & physicals, order placement, progress notes, discharge summaries.
• Prescribe medications including narcotics under Federal & State prescribing laws.
• Perform surgery consults and evaluations in the Emergency Room.
• Provide OR first assistant coverage for open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures.
• Maintain EPIC navigation and ensure effective communication among APCs, physicians, nurses, and other teams.
