Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or FNP with RNFA certification) to join our General Surgery team in the operating room. The APP will work with surgeons and the surgical team to provide perioperative care and assist with a range of general surgical procedures.

This role includes first assisting in the OR, pre- and postoperative management, patient evaluation, and care coordination across the surgical continuum.

Qualifications

• APRN or PA with RNFA certification.
• MSN required by hire date for external hires / internal moves.
• Graduates of accredited APRN or PA programs; RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive histories and perform exams.
• First assist in the OR and manage perioperative care.
• Coordinate care across the surgical continuum with the team.
• Educate patients on treatments, meds, and follow-up.
• Participate in rounds and quality monitoring.
