Momentum Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon (MD/DO) for a locum tenens opportunity in Portsmouth, Virginia. This role provides a chance to deliver life-saving surgical care within a supportive, well-resourced hospital setting.

Position: Locum MD/DO Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Location: Portsmouth, Virginia

Key Responsibilities:
Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and thoracic surgeries
Participate in both scheduled and emergent surgical cases
Provide post-operative care in collaboration with ICU and surgical teams
Evaluate patients and formulate operative plans in conjunction with referring physicians
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, progress notes, and patient outcomes

Qualifications:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Active Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)
Proven experience in high-acuity cardiothoracic cases
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
