Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed in the State of California.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CPR.
• Two to five years of experience in the OR.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in nursing management.
• Demonstrate leadership abilities.
• Knowledge and experience in the perioperative care of surgical patients.
• Able to work under stressful situations.
• Possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate interpersonal relationships with colleagues to enhance teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise OR, PACU, Central Supply and surgical coordination.
• Maintain high levels of nursing training and a safe environment.
• Review staff performance evaluations.
• Coordinate scheduling and policies to maximize OR efficiency.
• Act as liaison between OR, medical staff and administration.
• Ensure policies and procedures are observed.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize staffing.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and update manuals.
