Job summary

Colusamedcenter Surgery department seeks a Surgery Nursing Director to oversee peri-operative nursing duties across pre-op, intra-operative care and recovery, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality patient care. The role reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and collaborates with the Director of Nursing and OR manager.

Must be a California-licensed RN with an accredited nursing degree, CPR on file, 2–5 years in the OR and at least 2 years in nursing management; strong

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CPR certification.
• 2-5 years of OR experience.
• Minimum 2 years in nursing management.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise nursing staff in the OR, PACU, Central Supply, and surgical coordination.
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards and a safe environment for patients.
• Review staff performance evaluations and ensure high standards of care.
• Coordinate staffing, training, and processes to meet surgical demands and equipment changes.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and incident follow-up.
