Job summary

Coulee-Medical-Center in Washington state is seeking a Surgery Lead RN to join our Surgical Services team. This role combines direct patient care with day-to-day operational leadership, guiding nursing staff across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the care team to promote safe, efficient patient care while balancing scheduling needs and staff development.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & NRP certifications required or obtained within 12 months.
• 2–3 years in a nursing leadership or charge role.
• 2–3 years of hospital-based clinical experience.
• Experience in precepting/training staff; adult education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative settings.
• Lead Surgical Services operations and coordinate staffing/workflow.
• Support quality and regulatory initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff, providers, and leadership.
• Prioritize competing demands and respond to changing surgical schedules.
