Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, advanced education preferred.
• One year of previous medical office experience preferred with prior experience using an electronic health record.
• Professional interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to be highly organized and multi-task at various work stations and settings, as well as demonstrate an attention to detail.
• Candidates must possess excellent computer and typing skills.
• HIPAA compliance and medical terminology familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately by verifying identification, demographics, and insurance information.
• Data entry in the registration system and scanning of patient documents.
• Coordinate surgical procedures and scheduling with surgery center, endoscopy, and OR.
• Schedule pre-operative testing and ensure necessary documentation is collected.
• Provide administrative support and resolve routine and complex patient questions.
