Job summary

Parkwest Medical Center in West Knoxville seeks a Surgery Scheduler to direct the daily operation of scheduling inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures for Covenant Health.

You will operate the scheduling system, coordinate with physician offices for rooms, equipment, and related items, communicate with hospital departments about scheduling issues, and follow safety and policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates surgical scheduling system.
• Works with physician offices to schedule surgical procedures, including scheduling rooms, equipment, and other items as needed.
• Communicates with applicable hospital departments regarding scheduling issues and related activities.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
