Job summary

Johns Hopkins Health System is seeking a Posting Coordinator for Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD. The role schedules surgeries, enters data, and coordinates with OR, PACU, and physician offices to ensure smooth daily operations.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED and experience as a posting secretary or unit secretary. Proficiency with computer systems and a basic OR data system is helpful.

Qualifications

• Experience as posting secretary or completion of unit secretary training recommended.
• Experience with an OR data system is helpful.
• Must have computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules procedures and enters data from surgery posting sheets.
• Collects insurance data, authorization numbers, CPT codes and approvals.
• Collaborates with OR and PACU coordinators to finalize daily schedule and optimize case flow.
• Communicates with physician offices and OR staff on special case needs and equipment.
• Notifies TCAS Admitting about cancellations and system downtime issues.
