Job summary

Lakeland Eye Clinic is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate and schedule office- and hospital-based procedures in alignment with the patient’s diagnosis and surgical plan.

The role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and experience in scheduling. This is a full-time position with standard hours and potential variation for scheduling needs, located in Lakeland, FL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in surgery scheduling preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedules office- and hospital-based procedures per provider orders.
• Schedules tests and imaging at PMG.
• Coordinates with anesthesia groups and hospital staff.
• Enters notes in EMR and verifies insurance authorization.
• Conducts pre-procedure calls and confirms appointment times.
• Provides patients with test prep and arrival information; answers questions.
