HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Surgery Scheduler in Texas to support a Neurology practice. You will provide clerical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care and coordinate scheduling with the facility, staff, and anesthesia teams.

The role involves obtaining CPT/ICD-10 codes, preparing documentation for non-covered services, and ensuring proper authorizations are secured and recorded. A supportive team environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred.
• BLS may be required as per the practice standard.

Responsibilities

• Obtain CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information from practice staff.
• Prepare documentation for Notification of Non-covered Medicare Services or Advance Beneficiary notices.
• Determine OR time and coordinate with Facility to schedule procedures and arrange anesthesia coverage.
• Ensure scheduling packets are correct and timely.
• Obtain patient face sheets from Insurance Verification for necessary authorizations.
• Obtain authorization notes from Facility and file scans into medical records.
