Qualifications

• Six months of Surgery Scheduler, Patient Service Representative, Medical Assistant or related outpatient or inpatient experience.
• Experience coordinating pre-op and post-op scheduling and patient education.
• Ability to review patient demographics and insurance information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Handles scheduling for patient pre-op and post-op appointments and verifies insurance.
• Obtains surgery authorizations and health clearances as required.
• Serves as primary point of contact for patient and liaison with physician and departments.
• Arranges specialized equipment and supplies for procedures as requested.
• Responds to patient inquiries and issues, providing service recovery when needed.
• Provides concierge coordination between office and patient designee.
• Manages physician referrals and calendar-related tasks.
