Job summary

Prima Medical Foundation dba MarinHealth Medical Network seeks a Surgery Scheduler to maintain physician clinics and surgery schedules, provide direct assistance to physicians, and communicate with staff, patients, physicians, and the Practice Leader. You will also coordinate with local hospitals and outpatient facilities.

The role requires at least two years of medical office experience, CPT/ICD-10 familiarity, and proficiency with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• Experience: At least two years of related medical office experience; prior referral and authorization experience; demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.
• Prior surgery scheduling experience preferred; experience with electronic medical record systems; Allscripts a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling appointments for new and returning patients.
• Scheduling surgeries, procedures and colonoscopies.
• Maintaining physician schedules to assure efficient workflow.
• Interfacing with Practice Leader regarding scheduling issues.
• Direct assistance to physicians and administrative support to physicians.
• Obtaining necessary authorizations for surgeries and procedures.
