Sabates Eye Centers is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to organize office-based and hospital procedures per physician orders. The role ensures proper time slots, coordinates tests, and manages patient communications.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience in surgery scheduling, and a background in the medical field. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Full-time, on-site in Leawood, KS with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in surgery scheduling required.
• Background check with favorable result.
• Experience in medical field preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Schedules office- and hospital-based procedures with provider and time slot.
• Coordinates diagnostic tests and imaging per scheduling needs.
• Ensures proper authorizations and medical clearances are obtained.
• Documents scheduling details in EMR and communicates with patients.
• Provides clear test/arrival instructions and answers patient questions.
• Maintains accurate follow-up and discharge instruction reviews.
