West Coast Joint and Spine is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to manage the daily scheduling process and coordinate with physicians, OR staff, and anesthesia groups to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires 1–2 years of hospital/ASC/medical office scheduling experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, and a professional appearance. Duties include verifying information, preparing paperwork, and maintaining positive relationships with staff.

Competenze

• Minimum 1-2 years of hospital, ASC, or medical office scheduling experience required.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
• Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
• Show a genuine desire to work and improve the ASC as a whole.
• Professional appearance and attire.
• Strong familiarity with medical terminology, and general interest/willingness to learn multiple specialties.
• Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.

• Set priorities and organize work.
• Schedule patient procedures to ensure efficient processing and 23-hour stay arrangements.
• Coordinate with anesthesia groups to confirm scheduling coverage.
• Use procedure codes to ensure proper billing.
• Verify information (name, DOB, gender, insurance) in the system.
• Ensure necessary paperwork for new add-ons is received.
• Communicate schedule changes to staff.
• Collaborate with OR Manager and Materials Manager to avoid conflicts.
• Alert administration when new doctors or procedures are scheduled.
• Cross-train with other business office areas.
• Accept other duties as assigned.
• Complete consents and submit to the chart builder.
• Promote positive relationships with coordinators, physicians, and nursing staff.
