This role emphasizes accurate patient demographics, insurance verification, pre-certifications, and day-of-surgery prep.

A high school diploma is required, plus 3 years in a specialty physician’s office; tuition reimbursement up to $6,000

Qualifications

• Requires three years of experience in a specialty physician’s office with strong knowledge of managed care payors.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures preferred.
• Scheduling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule office procedures (inpatient and outpatient), follow-up appointments, and required testing.
• Verify patient demographics, verify insurance, and obtain pre-certifications as needed.
• Review medical preps for day of surgery and discuss follow-up with patients.
