Job summary

Powers Health Medical Group is seeking a Surgery Scheduler for the clinic to ensure accurate and timely scheduling of surgical procedures. The role requires maintaining scheduling records and clear communication with staff, providers, and patients.

Under supervision, you will liaise with patients to provide resources and information, handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Requires medical office experience and EPIC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting.
• Previous scheduling or registration experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows-based desktop applications.
• Basic data entry and computer skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Position: Surgery Scheduler - Clinic

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Network Manager and/or Office Supervisor, the Surgery Scheduleris responsible for a variety of functions to ensure the accuracyand timely scheduling of surgical procedures. They must maintain all appropriate scheduling records and documentation;communicate effectively with office staff, providers, and patients; and act as a liaisonfor patients who need additional resources, information, or assistance in this process.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting required.
• Previous scheduling or registration experience preferred.
• Working knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
• Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows based desktop application is required.
• Basic knowledge of computers, office equipment, keyboard data entry skills are required.
• Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities are necessary to interact with patients, physicians, and other hospital staff.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required.
