Job summary

Intermountain Health in Richfield, Utah is seeking a Scheduling Clerk to manage daily OR case scheduling, collect patient demographics and insurance details, and coordinate with the care team to ensure smooth operations.

The role is in person, with hours Monday to Friday 6am–3pm, totaling 40 hours per week. You will track charges and help ensure accurate billing, supporting a reliable patient flow.

Qualifications

• Type 60 wpm and demonstrate working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with patient scheduling and handling demographic/insurance info is preferred.

Job Essentials

• Performs patient scheduling of OR department. Schedules all patients for procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Collects the appropriate demographic and insurance information needed for billing.
• Utilizes appropriate information to ensure the proper sequence of patients.
• Tracks charges of OR time, supplies,medications,and equipment used and coordinates special requests as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

• Type 60 wpm.
• Working knowledge of Medical terminology.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience in medical field

• Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
• Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, including manipulating paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
• See and read computer monitors and documents.
• Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
