Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a competent PSR/ scheduling specialist to manage provider surgery calendars, obtain required authorizations, and coordinate pre-operative activities. The role requires experience in medical billing, scheduling, and working knowledge of EMR systems.
You will liaise with physicians, hospital staff, and insurance providers to ensure timely case processing, accurate CPT/ICD coding, and smooth patient navigation through the pre-operative phase.
Creates and manages provider’s surgery schedules, including in office procedure schedules and equipment. Maintains any changes or cancellations of surgeries for rescheduling and/or clinical follow up. Uses provider power plans to ensure all necessary orders are proposed, signed off and sent for hospital orders. Meets with pre-op patients to explain the surgery process..
