Job summary

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, CA, seeks a dedicated Perioperative Scheduler to manage accurate, conflict-free computerized scheduling for GI, inpatient and outpatient ORs, PACU, and non-OR areas.

You will coordinate with physicians, staff, and vendors to optimize the surgical schedule, reconcile perioperative charges, and assist with data collection and chart preparation. Strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Prior surgery scheduling experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgery scheduling and medical terminology.

Job Summary:

Responsible for accurate, complete conflict-free computerized scheduling for Perioperative Services- including GI, Inpatient Operating Rooms/ PACU, Outpatient Operating Rooms/ PACU, and non-OR Procedural areas. Manages the Surgery schedule to best utilize the surgical suites and equipment. Professionally interfaces over the phone and in person with physicians, vendors, outside offices, HMNH staff and leadership in Inpatient and Outpatient settings. Reconciles charges generated within Perioperative Services. Assists with data collection and patient chart preparation for Perioperative Services.
