Job summary

St. Thomas Surgery Center – Midtown, part of USPI, is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate schedules for pediatric and adult patients. The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage high-priority calls with care for patient confidentiality.

The Surgery Scheduler will assist with insurance verification and ensure efficient, accurate scheduling to support seamless patient care at the Midtown facility in Nashville.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in surgery scheduling or medical office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.

The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for scheduling pediatric and adult patients for the surgery center and assists with insurance verification when needed. The Surgical Scheduler must display excellent telephone etiquette as he/she manages calls of utmost importance to providing quality and continuity of individual patient care.
