Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our team. You will schedule surgeries, coordinate with staff, and be the primary contact for surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries, procedures, diagnostic tests, and follow-up appointments per physician orders and patient needs
• Act as the primary point of contact for surgical patients, providing information and answering questions
• Coordinate with Surgical Assistants, operating rooms, and providers to ensure availability of staff, special equipment, and materials
• Confirm insurance authorizations and ensure all necessary documentation is in place
• Maintain detailed and accurate schedules in the electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with front office and clinical staff to ensure smooth transitions of care
