Job summary

Adventist Health Fairfield in California is seeking a Manager of Nursing - RN for the full-time day shift in Surgery. The role leads a front-line nursing and ancillary team, ensures safe patient care, and collaborates across units to optimize operations and satisfaction.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in nursing (Master’s preferred), RN licensure, and leadership experience, with incentives and relocation may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Five years' technical experience preferred.
• One year's leadership experience preferred.
• Two years' acute care nursing in hospital setting preferred.
• RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• BLS certification preferred/required according to AH policy.
• National specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds a high performing clinical work team by recruiting and retaining skilled professional staff.
• Sets and strives to achieve goals for patient safety, quality of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conducts daily rounds with physicians and other staff to coordinate patient care.
• Directs/monitors personnel in the performance of patient care activities to ensure quality.
• Manages unit staffing, overtime, and monthly schedules.
• Facilitates throughput through discharge planning and bed management.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
