Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join our team. The role involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, developing SMART care plans, and administering medications with a focus on safety and quality of care.

You will educate patients and families, advocate for patient rights, and participate in ongoing quality improvement activities. The position requires an Associate's in Nursing, with preferred Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Must be able to administer medications safely across populations.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Proficient in documenting in electronic medical records.
• Strong communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with SMART goals.
• Administer medications and treatments, including wound care and IV therapy.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding conditions and discharge plans.
• Advocate for patient safety and rights; protect confidentiality.
• Participate in unit quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with doctors, therapists, social workers and nurses for coordinated care.
• Document care activities accurately and timely in the EMR.
