Job summary

The Field Service Engineer 1 at GE HealthCare supports ultrasound and x-ray systems in the Little Rock/Central AR service region. You’ll perform on-time preventative maintenance, learn troubleshooting techniques, and work with experienced engineers onsite and remotely to ensure service excellence.

The role involves validating FMIs/ISIs, assisting with equipment installation, keeping service records, and partnering with customers to drive satisfaction and value-added service opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR GEHC internship/military externship; OR High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years’ experience servicing electronic equipment.
• Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to be available after hours or rotate On-Call including weekends as needed.
• Background checks and immunization/other federal background checks may apply; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and/or ISIs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs.
• Communicate effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
• Partner with customers and identify value-added services to improve customer operations.
• Maintain service logs, order parts, and manage cycle times.
• Use GEHC escalation process and collaborate with region/national support to resolve issues.
• Engage with account teams and identify sales leads; assist with renewals and revenue programs.
