Job Description

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center is seeking a Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon. The coverage includes clinic and OR, with 24-hour call. Open dates are June 1 - July 2, July 10 - July 15, and July 24 - July 31. Coverage start date is June 2025. The reason for coverage is Cardiothoracic Surgery. Practice settings include Office, Hospital, OR, and Rounding. Call schedule involves after-hours and weekends. The facility has 1 operating room, and documentation is managed via Epic EMR. The patient demographic is adult (18+).

Required duties include:

• Aortic surgery, including descending aortic aneurysms
• Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), redo revascularization, with or without heart valve surgery
• Arterial revascularization using internal mammary, radial, and gastroepiploic arteries
• Pericardial window, tube thoracostomy, thoracic aortic aneurysms
• Thoracoscopy, lung resections, pneumonectomy, chest wall resection, mediastinal surgery
• Vascular procedures like heart valve repair/replacement, including CoreValve system

Estimated credentialing time is 90-120 days. Emergency temporary privileges are available for December 1 start. Travel reimbursement includes lodging at $120/night and standard/economy rates for other bookings.
