Job description

Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Bread & Butter General Surgeon to join our hospital-employed, highly productive team.

• Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
• Call will be 1:5, including 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month.

• Case Load

• • Office
    • 20-30 patients/day
    • 10 exam rooms/2 procedure rooms
    • Office procedures include removal of lipomas, cysts, skin cancer
  • OR
    • Bread and Butter surgeries
    • 8-15 surgeries/week, no trauma, endoscopy preferred

• Equipment

• • State-of-the-art radiologic equipment, including mammography and MRI
  • New generation DaVinci Robot coming soon!

2-year contract includes:

• Vacation: 29 PTO days; an additional 5 days if producing 75th percentile wRVUs
• CME/Books & Journals: 5 days PTO and up to $5,000
• Deferred compensation: 457b plan, up to IRS limit of $22,500/year before taxes, no matching
• Retirement/Savings Plan: 403b plan, up to IRS limit of $22,500/year under age 50 and $30,000 for over age 50; SOMC matches dollar for dollar up to 2% of base pay
• Moving Expenses: $10,000 paid to moving company

• Malpractice Insurance: claims-made coverage, $1,000,000 per claim / $3,000,000 aggregate
• Health Insurance: small premium deducted from paycheck
• Liquidated Damages: 70 miles and 2-year non-compete clause or liquidated damages of one year salary
• Medical School Loan Repayment: up to $200,000 ($25,000 per year of service)
• Residency Stipend: up to $25,000 (requires up to 2-year service commitment)
• Sign-on Bonus: 15% of base salary up to $100,000, paid upon signing and forgiven over 2-4 years depending on bonus amount
• Bonus Incentives: up to 10% of salary based on performance
