Job summary

Franciscan Healthcare in West Point, NE is seeking a Surgery EVS Technician to keep operating rooms and perioperative areas clean, safe, and infection-controlled. The role supports patient safety and quality care through meticulous cleaning and disinfection.

Typical hours are 20–25 per week, Monday–Friday with evenings, on-call and holiday rotation, including nights and weekends. Prior EVS or cleaning experience is preferred, with certification in Surgical Cleaning Technician to be obtained

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma
• Previous EVS or cleaning experience preferred
• Certification in Surgical Cleaning Technician within 6 months of hire may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform multi step cleaning and disinfection of operating rooms and perioperative areas
• Clean and disinfect surgical instruments, equipment, and surfaces
• Handle and dispose of regulated medical waste and hazardous materials follow safety rules
• Maintain floors, walls, ceilings, and carpets in surgical areas through cleaning routines
• Discard infectious/non-infectious waste into proper containers with liners
• Conduct end of day terminal cleaning to prepare rooms for next use
