Job summary

Pinnacle Healthcare Environmental Services is hiring an EVS Technician to maintain a safe care environment by cleaning, disinfecting, and quality assurance across surgical services and peri-operative areas.

The role requires 1 year of healthcare EVS experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read and write English. Per diem AM/PM availability applies; facilities provide health and safety protocols and PPE training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of health care environmental services experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect specialty units & equipment (Surgical Services, Endoscopy, Pac U).
• Demonstrate health care cleaning and disinfection principles and safe chemical use.
• Follow safety, risk management and infection control standards.
• Maintain logs and checklists/current documentation.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and areas per procedures and manufacturer guidance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cleaning requirements for sensitive environments.
• Comply with regulatory body recommendations (AHE, APIC, AORN, CDC, JCAHO).
• Keep EVS cart stocked and organized and manage waste streams.
• Maintain privacy requirements (HIPAA).
