Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking a Professional Development Practitioner (PDP) to lead education and development in the Surgery department. The PDP will plan, design, implement, and evaluate staff education initiatives, promoting lifelong learning and clinical competency.

The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration with leadership, and alignment with ANPD standards. It requires nursing leadership and strong teaching skills to support nursing practice and professional growth.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an approved nursing program.
• Current RN license in Alabama or NLC.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum three years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts ongoing needs assessments and formulates educational plans based on data.
• Develops and coordinates orientation for assigned areas with leaders and preceptors.
• Participates in quality and safety initiatives.
• Implements educational programs to enhance nursing competency using engaging methods.
• Develops evidence-based curricula per ANPD standards across disciplines.
