Baptist Health is seeking a Professional Development Specialist to enhance patient care and staff performance through education, consultation, and leadership. The role develops orientation programs, mandatory training, in-service education, and continuing education opportunities for hospital staff.

The position emphasizes evidence-based practice, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and advancing clinical standards to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• Three (3) years of acute care clinical experience within the last five years.
• Current RN licensure by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or comparable clinical licensure with ACLS and PALS included within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs and develops education programs for hospital staff.
• Coordinates and delivers educational activities using adult learning principles.
• Evaluates program effectiveness and maintains documentation and compliance records.
• Leads committees and projects to support organizational initiatives and evidence-based practice.
