Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha seeks a Surgery & Diagnostic Scheduling Rep to coordinate and schedule surgical procedures and diagnostic services. You will be the primary contact for coordinating service needs, scheduling, data collection, and patient education to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role is full-time from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, located at Pacific Street Clinic, and involves close collaboration with providers, ancillary teams, and patients to support optimal

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with medical terminology required.
• Prior working knowledge of using personal computer required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery dates with patients and document in EHR.
• Verify insurance information and correct discrepancies in EHR.
• Ensure surgeon privileges and coordinate time with multiple surgeons if needed.
• Coordinate with anesthesia for room coverage and inform staff of changes.
• Schedule post-op appointments and coordinate pre-admission processes.
• Accept orders for outpatient diagnostic testing and validate medical necessity.
• Enter non-electronic orders into clinical systems and verify patient data.
