HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in southwest Jacksonville seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join a dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team. The hospital operates as the only Level II trauma center in Clay County, with 24-hour APP coverage and a dedicated trauma team.

Qualifications

• Have, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted Florida medical license.
• No history of license revocation, restriction, or suspension.
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma and acute care surgery coverage as part of a 24/7 APP-led team.
• Work 12-hour shifts as part of a 14-shift/month schedule, including in-house coverage.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, and support staff to manage trauma patients.
• Support program participation in trauma-related quality initiatives and CTRIP activities.

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in southwest Jacksonville is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team with the only trauma center in Clay County. HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is a Florida Department of Health Level II trauma center.

About HCA Orange Park Trauma:

• Fulltime role with 14 shifts per month: 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back
• The Trauma team consists of 6 full time physicians and has five advanced practice professionals, with 24-hour APP coverage
• General surgery and emergency medicine residents rotate on the service
• The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives
• 2,000+ trauma patients in 2024
• Covers all trauma and emergency general surgery call for the hospital.

Qualified Candidates:

• Have, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted license to practice in Florida - not subject to any restrictions, probationary terms or conditions
• No history of license to practice being revoked, restricted or suspended by any professional licensing agency in any state or jurisdiction
• Have current, unrestricted DEA registration
