HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in southwest Jacksonville seeks a Trauma Surgeon to join our trauma and acute care surgery team as the only Level II center in Clay County. The role includes 12-hour primary in-house coverage with 12-hour back-up and collaboration with residents and APPs.

Board-certified in General Surgery with fellowship in Surgical Critical Care is required; Florida license or eligibility and active DEA registration are expected.

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in southwest Jacksonville is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team with the only trauma center in Clay County. HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is a Florida Department of Health Level II trauma center.

About HCA Orange Park Trauma

• -Fulltime role with 14 shifts per month: 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back-up (rarely called in)
• -The acute care surgery team has six advanced practice professionals, with 24-hour APP coverage
• -General surgery and emergency medicine residents rotate on the service
• -The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives
• 2,000+ trauma patients in 2022
• -Covers all general surgery call for the hospital

Qualified Candidates

• -Board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care
• -Have, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted license to practice in Florida - not subject to any restrictions, probationary terms or conditions
• -No history of license to practice being revoked, restricted or suspended by any professional licensing agency in any state or jurisdiction
• -Have current, unrestricted DEA registration
