Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX seeks a dedicated perioperative support member to assist in the operating room under RN supervision. You will perform terminal cleaning, prepare rooms for new patients, restock equipment, and help transport specimens and supplies to OR.

The role supports patient care in the perioperative setting and requires a high school diploma or GED and AHA BLS certification, with potential for a sign-on bonus and benefits as described.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: 6 months of related experience is preferred.
• Certifications: AHA BLS is required.

Responsabilités

• Perform terminal cleaning of the operating room and prepare rooms for new patients.
• Clean and re-make patient stretchers and beds; restock and maintain assigned areas.
• Participate in OR turnover between cases and transport specimens, labs, and blood as directed.
• Follow Standard Precautions with PPE and assist the RN and OR staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This position may qualify for a sign on bonus

Performs direct and indirect patient care in the Perioperative setting and assists in the maintenance of a safe, clean environment working under the direction of charge nurse (RN) and OR staff.

Responsibilities

Perform terminal cleaning of the operating room and prepares rooms for new patients. Cleans and re-makes patient stretchers and beds and responsible for assigned areas for restocking and cleanliness. Participates in OR suite turnovers between cases. Delivers specimens, labs, blood to and from OR. Transport patients as directed by a nurse. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required per policy. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Required: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Preferred: 6 months of related experience

Certifications: Required: AHA BLS.
