Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking skilled Surgical Technologists for travel and local contract opportunities across the U.S. You will work with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe surgical procedures.

Required are an accredited Surgical Technology program, state licensure, and BLS; NBSTSA/NCCT certification is preferred, with at least 1 year in an OR setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred.
• Active state licensure or eligibility, as required.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a surgical/operating room setting.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
• Ability to remain focused and calm in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Maintain a sterile field and monitor aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure accuracy.
• Handle specimens appropriately and prepare them for laboratory analysis.
• Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
