Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an OB Surgical Tech for a 13-week contract in Lynwood, CA. You will assist in obstetric surgical procedures, ensure sterile field, and collaborate with the surgical team to maintain patient safety.

Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining sterile field, handling instruments and specimens, confirming equipment readiness, and communicating clearly with the team to optimize patient care. Current CST certification and required vaccinations are needed.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Completion of Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.
• Immunizations: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB test, Tdap, Varicella.

Job Description

The OB Surgical Tech will assist in surgical procedures, ensuring that all instruments and supplies are prepared and available. The role necessitates collaboration with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team with instruments and supplies as needed.
• Ensure operating room equipment is functioning properly prior to procedures.
• Handle specimens submitted for pathology.
• Communicate effectively with team members to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Completion of Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.
• Acceptable proof of the following immunizations: COVID-19 Vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, Tdap, Varicella.
• Valid Driver's License/State ID.
• Successful completion of Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel test).
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist.
• Passing results from Prime Criminal Background Check.
