Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a 90-day contract in Dover, NJ. You will prepare the OR, maintain sterile fields, and assist surgical teams during procedures, with on-call weekend coverage on rotation.

This role requires certification as a Surgical Technician with NJ credentials and experience in multiple surgical specialties, plus required vaccinations and fit test. ARMStaffing offers benefits and recruiter support.

Qualifications

• Experience in cataracts, vitrectomy, bariatric, general, urology, ortho and podiatry surgeries.

Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM - 07:30 PM with on-call weekend coverage on a rotational basis.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will provide support in surgical procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are available, and assisting surgical teams during procedures effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team during operations, ensuring the availability of instruments and supplies.
• Handle specimens and follow appropriate protocols for handling and preservation.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, sterilization, and safety procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be a certified Surgical Technician with valid credentials to work in New Jersey.
• Experience in eye surgery (specifically cataracts and vitrectomy), bariatric surgery, pain management, general surgery, urology, orthopedic surgery (arthroscopy), and podiatry.
• Current certifications as required: MMR, COVID-19 vaccine, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Tdap, and fit test.
