Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical in Macon, GA, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will prepare instruments, assist during procedures, and work with licensed staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; graduation from a surgical technology program is preferred. BLS certification is required or encouraged, with opportunities for growth within Piedmont's network.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of Surgical Technology program or prior experience as a Surgical Technologist recommended.
  • BLS Certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.


Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School graduate or GED.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Graduate of Surgical Technology program OR prior experience as a Surgical Technologist.


MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:N/A


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:BLS Certification Required. Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program Preferred.
